The Ames Community Truck is available to charitable organizations and clients of the Tom Randall Real Estate Team, courtesy of these special sponsors: Gibbs Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Proffessional House Doctor En-Tire Car Care First American Bank How Do You Reserve The Truck?
Reserving the truck is easy and on a first request basis. Simply call our office and request the truck, explaining how you are affiliated with our real estate team, why you need the truck and the date you need it. Once your request is approved, you will come to our office on the date you are using the truck. You will bring your drivers license and current proof of insurance with you. We will go through our paperwork with you and then provide you with the keys. Note: You MUST be 25 years old to drive the truck. General Guidelines for Using the Truck
| * |
It is a NO SMOKING truck |
| * |
For your protection and ours, insurance is required. Most auto insurance policies cover rentals. Please check your policy or call your insurance agent prior to the time you need the truck |
| * |
You will pick up a clean truck with a full tank of gas. Return the truck in the same condition. We do require a receipt for the gas when you return the keys. |
| * |
Use of the truck is limited to within a 10 mile radius of Ames, unless you have prior authorization from our team. |
| * |
Please be courteous to others using the truck. Pick up and return the truck promptly as scheduled. |
| * |
Insuurance does not cover theft of valuables in the truck. Please keep your valuables locked at all times. We will not be responsible for personal items lost, stolen or damaged. |
| * |
Operate the truck responsibly. We will not be responsible for careless actions of the driver. |
| * |
Use caution with the height of the truck. It's 10'6", with a box length of 15'. Be cautious of low overhead structures such as awnings, canopies, garages, power lines, etc. Also, the turning radius is much wider. When possible, have someone assist you when operating in reverse. |
| * |
If there is an emergency with the truck, contact us at 232-5700. |
| * |
Return the truck to the location you picked it up from. Be sure all lights are off, to include headlights and dome lights in the box and cab. Lock the vehicle and return the keys to our office at 207 S 3rd Street. The keys and gas receipt can be placed in the drop box near our back door after hours. |

Working With An Agent >A Real Estate Agents Reality
The process of guiding a home sales transaction is in reality more complex than many people realize. When qualified buyers present an offer on your home, it might seem that the deal is done, but this is only the beginning of the negotiations process. Ideally, this aspect of the transaction culminates in a meeting of the minds. At no point can the real estate agent just sit back and relax, because the "glue" that holds each transaction together is subject to a variety of factors and forces that may cause the deal to fall apart.
We can only hope that there are no surprises during the home inspections. We have to presume that the appraiser will think the house is worth as much as the buyer and seller do, but this is never guaranteed. As the buyers make their loan application, we cross our fingers that the credit report reveals they always pay their bills on time.
Rarely is a transaction completed without a few problems. A real estate agent's professional skills come into play primarily during the time between contract ratification and the closing. At this point, we use our creativity, patience and negotiating skills to achieve a happy resolution to your transaction.
